With inflation numbers being released tomorrow, gas prices are one of the ever agonizing topics on the mind of Americans. For Biden’s criticism, numbers haven’t gotten better for those at the pump as the average price for a gallon of gas has exceeded $5 nationwide.
The average price of gas in all 50 states sat nearly at $4.40, but across every region of the country, the West and Northeast have seen the highest prices while the Southeast has seen the lowest prices.
The state of California has seen gas prices reach a state-wide average of $6.40 per gallon, according to AAA.
A summer travel boom is sending gas prices through the roof. The spike in gas supply (obviously as people travel more, they need more gas) works hand-in-hand with the cut in oil supply due to the Russian - Ukraine war.
