The attack comes after a three day chain of violence between Israel and the militant group Islamic Jihad...
A bus near the Old City in Jerusalem was shot today which led to the wounding of eight Israelis. The attack is suspected of being a Palestinian attack that comes a week after a skit of violence flamed up in Israel.
Two victims have been confirmed in serious condition. One of them is a pregnant woman with abdominal injuries. The shooting occurred as the bus waited in a parking lot near the Western Wall. Police forces were called to the scene to investigate and security forces also pushed into a Palestinian neighborhood nearby.
Israeli aircraft unleashed an offensive push in the Gaza Strip as they aimed to target the militant group Islamic Jihad last weekend. This sparked three days of cross-border combat with hundreds of rockets being fired in response to the airstrikes. Nearly 49 Palestinians were killed and several hundred were injured. In the combat, no Israelis were killed or seriously injured.
Three Palestinian militants were killed by Israeli troops a day after a cease-fire was met. Nearly a dozen others were injured in the shootout that started with an arrest raid in the West Bank city of Nablus.
