Demi Minor, a transgender woman incarcerated at a New Jersey women’s only prison, has been moved to another facility after reportedly impregnating two female inmates this year. Dan Sperrazza, a spokesman for the state Department of Corrections, said Demi Minor is currently the only woman incarcerated at the facility she was moved to and was placed in the vulnerable unit.

Demi Minor is currently in prison for manslaughter and her move comes after two inmates reported pregnancies after "consensual sexual relationships with another incarcerated person."

According to a blog on her website Justice 4 Demi, during her transfer police beat her.

"NJDOC cannot comment on any active investigations. The Department has zero tolerance for abuse, and the safety and security of the incarcerated population and staff are of critical importance."

A police statement said.

The Edna Mahan Correctional Facility has faced a long string of such sex assault scandals. Last year, the facility was threatened to be shuttered by Governor Phil Murphy. However, the facility is New Jersey’s women’s only prison.
