Documents found at Mar-a-Lago “Likely Concealed and Removed” in order to “Obstruct” FBI Investigation, according to the DOJ

Political News

According to a court filing provided by the DOJ last night, the classified documents seized at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home were “likely concealed and removed from storage as part of an effort to obstruct the FBI’s investigation into Donald Trump.” Furthermore, the DOJ reports that there have been over 300 papers (classified documents) now recovered from the estate.

The filing specifically outlines the attempt Donald Trump may have taken to conceal classified documents in an attempt to avoid an FBI investigation. The new details come as Donald Trump has added another obstacle to the mix by suggesting he gets a “special master” to review the documents. The DOJ added to its filing that Donald Trump has been pushing an “incomplete and inaccurate narrative.”

Nancy Pelosi’s Actions must be “Dispelled” in order for China to continue Climate Change Dialogue

Political News

The resumption of climate talks between the United States and China comes down to a Chinese request that Nancy Pelosi’s “Negative Influence” be “Dispelled” by the United States due to her visit to Taiwan. Her visit ultimately led to China dropping out of bilateral cooperation with the United States in more than one area. However, one of those areas included climate talks.

John Kerry, the former Secretary of State and current member of Biden’s administration said that he is “hopeful” that China and the United States could “get back together” as he urged Xi Jinping, the President of China, to get back to talks on climate change saying his “suspension of bilateral climate talks punished the entire world.”

New JOLTS Data indicates an Unexpected Rise in Open Jobs

Economic News

A newly released JOLTS report for the month of July indicated an unexpected rise in the number of open jobs in the United States economy. The figures add a continued easing in the labor market with the need for workers remaining steady. Thomas Barkin, Richmond’s Fed President, said that the data shows why the economic conversation is no longer focused as much on the recession as it once was. He said, “The job market is still very tight.”

Moderation in the number of Americans quitting work has been easing in recent months, according to the JOLTS data. However, “quiet quitting” remains to be a trending topic even as data shows quitting in the workplace is leveling out.

In 2020 that figure dropped to 77, with many people indicating it was the work of the Covid pandemic. In 2021, the life expectancy fell to 76.1 years. Some Americans have experienced a life expectancy much lower, according to the CDC.
