Adam Kinzinger claims there is no Value in sending a Subpoena to Trump: "He lies all the time; I wouldn't put it past him to even lie under oath."
However, Adam Kinzinger raises interest in possibly speaking to former Vice President Mike Pence...
Other than confirming that there will be more hearings/testimonies to come for the January 6th Select Committee investigating the January 6th Capitol Riots, Adam Kinzinger also shared his opinion on Donald Trump testifying.
"Look, Donald Trump has made it clear that he doesn't mind not telling the truth, let's just put that mildly. He lies all the time; I wouldn't put it past him to even lie under oath. So I'm not sure what the value is there."
Rep. Adam Kinzinger said.
He also added that the committee has already gotten a lot of useful information without Trump even being there. Adam Kinzinger added, "The big question we're still dealing with as a committee is, is there benefit in talking to somebody like Donald Trump and requesting he comes in?"
As many have requested, Adam Kinzinger also said that he would prefer to hear from former Vice President Mike Pence to get an inside look at his perspective. However, it hasn’t been made clear the intentions of the committee to subpoena him or ask for an interview.
"I think it would be important to hear everything he has to say. That said, I'm not sure we get a ton more out of him than what his staff has already told us.
This investigation is not winding down. We may be towards the end of this tranche of hearings. We may have more hearings in the future. And the investigation is still ongoing. So we're getting to the bottom of what we need to know.”
