Mohammad Eslami, the head of Iran’s atomic energy organization, said that the country is fully capable of producing an atomic bomb due to its having “technical capabilities,” but indicated they have no intention of doing so.

Kamal Kharrazi, a senior adviser to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, made remarks that indicated the possible wants of the Islamic Republic for having nuclear weapons. Since then, Iran has denied the comments with Mohammad Eslami saying, "As Mr. Kharrazi mentioned, Iran has the technical ability to build an atomic bomb, but such a program is not on the agenda.”

What is the Idea surrounding the Newest Political Party in America?

Political News

Early last week it was announced that a handful of former Republicans and Democrats joined together to launch the Forward Party, a new moderate-view political party. Andre Yang, Christine Todd Whitman, and David Jolly are the founders of the party.

"Political extremism is ripping our nation apart, and the two major parties have failed to remedy the crisis. In the last two years, there has been a spike in political intimidation and if nothing is done, the United States will not reach its 300th birthday this century in recognizable form,” the founders wrote as they added polling statistics that claim 62% of those identifying as independent feel as if both political parties are “doing a poor job representing the American people.”

"That's why we are coming together — Democrats, Republicans, and independents — to build a new, unifying political party for the majority of Americans who want to move past the divisiveness and reject extremism,” the founders added.
