Camille Johnson was Shocked to see her Sister Charged at the Doctors for Crying

A popular YouTuber, Camille Johnson, shared an image on Twitter of her sister’s bill from the doctor’s office in which she highlights a $40 charge given “for crying” at a doctor’s appointment. The exact billing was for a “brief emotional/behavioral assessment” moment.

Camille explained the rare disease her sister has which causes her to get emotional when she feels frustrated and helpless. The bill shows that her sister has visited the doctor in January concerning the condition.
“One tear in and they charged her $40 without addressing why she is crying, trying to help, doing any evaluation, any prescription, nothing.”
Camille Johnson wrote on Twitter.
“When I got surgery this past June to remove a tumor, I asked them what ‘Women's services' was for. It was for the pregnancy test they administered. $1,902 to pee and for them to dip a stick into it. Thankfully most was covered by insurance but geez”.
One person shared their experience on the Twitter thread.
“Tell me you live in America without telling me that you live in America.”
Another individual joked.
In the medical community, a brief emotional/behavioral assessment is a mental health screening that tests for signs of:
Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder
Depression
Anxiety
Suicidal risk
Substance abuse
Typically, according to many, it is usually issued as a questionnaire that is handed out and filled in before seeing the doctor.
Camille states that her sister never received the valuation. The doctor allegedly just noticed her sister’s tears but said nothing. The health care center didn’t even evaluate Camille’s sister for depression or any related mental illnesses and her sibling didn’t even get to speak to a specialist.
Thankfully, the sister was covered by insurance which helped pay the billion.
