Secret Biden-McConnell Deal on Anti-Abortion GOP Judge Spells Trouble
Democrats are blasting President Joe Biden for agreeing to nominate an anti-abortion Republican to a lifetime federal judgeship in Kentucky, less than a week after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.
"The president is making a deal with the devil and once again" and "the people of Kentucky are crushed in the process," Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Charles Booker tweeted after The Courier-Journal broke the story.
Alyssa Farah Says She Led Cassidy Hutchinson to Liz Cheney
Former Trump staffer Alyssa Farah revealed that she was instrumental in this week’s January 6 committee hearing, claiming she directed Cassidy Hutchinson to Liz Cheney for her explosive testimony earlier this week.
Farah – who resigned from the Trump administration in December and has been vocal about her distaste since – told her CNN co-hosts that Hutchinson came to her directly, saying that there was more information she wanted to give the committee after her initial testimony.
Russian Kills 18 in Odesa Strikes
Russian missile strikes on residential areas in the Odesa region have killed at least 18 people, Kyiv says. Moscow denies carrying out the attacks. The strikes come a day after Russia announced its troops had withdrawn from the Black Sea outpost of Snake Island as a “gesture of goodwill.”
Russian forces have also captured part of an oil refinery in Lysychansk, according to a Ukrainian official, as Moscow presses for control of the eastern city.

While investors will be closely watching for signs of this trend continuing, or reversing, in the coming months, the much-maligned global supply chain is beginning to show some signs of operating more smoothly.
One of the most intuitive measures of supply chain health is supplier delivery times, which hit their longest points on record last fall.
Can Mike Pence turn a Recent Run into a Presidential Run?
After Pence’s refusal to cave to the demands of former President Donald Trump became a focal point of the January 6th committee hearings, sources say he is getting approached a lot more often. Many individuals leave him with the message, “You saved the republic.”
Once demeaned by the left as a Trump flunky and dismissed by the right as lacking the charisma to be president, Pence is getting a second look in the political world.
Even Democrats who recoiled at much of what the Trump administration did over four years are congratulating Pence for what he refused to do one day in January 2021 — overturning the election.
