The ‘Keep Country First Policy Action’ Group begins work Today

Political News

A program has been founded and launched by those in support of Adam Kinzinger that promises to recruit “pro-freedom, pro-democracy” candidates. The non-profit group, Keep Country First Policy Action, is working to recruit and train candidates that are considering running for all levels of the government.

One focus, in general, is on local election officials. Zach Hunter, the executive director of the group, said, “While we will work with folks who want to run for any local office, we are particularly interested in election clerk positions and volunteers. It’s vital for our democracy that we have people of good faith to fairly administer election laws and restore trust in our institutions.”

Calls to Calm the China-Taiwan Tensions have been Ignored as China Continues Military Exercises

World News

China has said that its military would be continuing the military exercises many have deemed as “threatening” to Taiwan. The drills have reportedly disrupted shipping, and air traffic, and have raised multiple concerns about whether or not China will invade the island.

According to the Chinese military, the continuation of drills will include anti-submarine drills aimed to prevent the United States’ support for Taiwan in the sea. The exercises will also include missile strikes, warplanes, and ship movements across the Taiwan Strait midlines. All calls to calm the tensions have been ignored by China thus far.

Many Democrats claim Ron DeSantis would be a more Difficult Opponent than Donald Trump for the 2024 Presidential Election

Political News

President Joe Biden has told many people that he is confident in the fact that he is the only Democrat capable of defeating Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election. However, multiple Democrats have indicated that Biden may not face Trump, but he may face a newer, younger, and more difficult opponent in Ron DeSantis.

Chances are that Donald Trump enters the race for the 2024 presidential seat. Ron DeSantis on the other hand is on the outside looking in, possibly waiting to pounce on the right opportunity. One Democratic strategist put it simply, “To me, DeSantis is the scarier prospect. He’s a smarter version of Trump, he’s way more strategic, and he doesn’t have a hundred lawsuits at his feet.“
