Florida lawmakers have created back-to-back losses for Disney and with that mounting onto an already burning pile of shit, the company’s favorability among the public is going down.

NBC News conducted a poll which found that 33% of adults have a favorable impression of Disney. 15% have a “very positive” view of Disney and 18% claim a “somewhat positive” impression.

30% of those polled hold a “neutral” view and the kicker, and ultimately the worst statistic is that 30% of participants view Disney “unfavorably.”

In March 2021, a poll was conducted similar to the poll in conversation. In that poll, participants recorded a “very favorable image” with 77% of Americans approving of the company and a measly 21% showing “unfavorability.”

The favorability of Disney has shrunk 44% in less than a year which obviously goes to show that a company voicing concerns in areas not favorable doesn’t play out. I guess it also indicates not to go against the government. The last fight Disney lost was to Florida’s parental rights legislation. The company then lost its special district status which allowed the park to operate with a measure of autonomy unique to Disney.
