Joe Scarborough has hit the Republicans hard for their rhetoric on abortion following the leak of the draft opinion concerning a possible overturn of Roe v. Wade. On his show, “Morning Joe,” he said: “The Republicans say ‘oh we’re going to replace and reform.’ They haven’t done anything. The fact is, they do support the death penalty, that is one thing they support. But more and more this seems to be a party that really believes that life begins at conception but ends at childbirth.”
“But the second they’re born, they’re on their own,” he continued.
Scarborough continued to ridicule the Republicans by claiming “This is not a party that gives a damn about those babies who are actually born and what happens to them after they are born. It’s so hypocritical.”
The draft opinion currently has the backing of the conservative majority and it seems as if a handful of senators and governors are cheering for the news. Democrats have caused several GOP justices of misleading lawmakers. Accusations even claim that the Republicans have misled voters and the general public on their views of the decision.
The last several days have been spent by every single politician blaming one side or the other. Republican officials and media figures have suggested it was leaked by liberals inside the court. Democrats claim it is a ploy for Republicans to steal democracy.
Just remember, if you falter to either side of the political spectrum and you label yourself with them, you’re just as bad as those you oppose. You too are brainwashed. It is just simple logic that says that overturning Roe v. Wade is ridiculous as is overturning other Supreme Court decisions which give the benefit to select civil liberties.
