Donald Trump will Visit D.C. Today to Give a Policy Speech
Donald Trump will be making a quick stop in Washington D.C. today to deliver a speech concerning “policy” to an organization developing the next Republican president’s “policy agenda.” The America First Policy Institute planned the agenda at the conference that seems to be very much like Donald Trump’s such as trade protection, fewer government regulations, and the completion of the wall around the southern border.
This would be Donald Trump’s first trip back to D.C. since leaving office and will cap off a two-day conference on an agenda that also includes increased oil production, opposition to abortion, supporting law enforcement, and ultimately criticizing the current Democratic party.
Eric Greiten’s Domestic Abuse Allegations sets him back in the Missouri Republican Senate Primary
Eric Greitens has now dropped to third place in the Missouri Senate Republican primary after a mix of TV ads advertised his allegations of domestic abuse. For nearly a year, people have publicly criticized the idea of the former Governor becoming the Senate representative for Missouri.
Just one month after a super PAC came about that would blast the allegations of domestic and child abuse made by Greitens wife — they’ve spent nearly $6 Million to spread the allegations on TV — Greitens has lost the status of being the front runner in the primary, according to recent public polls
Russian Forces Pushed back on Two Fronts
On two fronts, Ukrainian militants have pushed back Russian assaults. However, Russia continues to maintain control or at least maintain a standstill on all other fronts. More specifically, on the Slobozhanshchyna front, Russian forces have been performing operations to maintain the area. On the Kharkiv front, Russians are using tanks as well as rockets and artillery to fire on the surrounding areas such as Borschova, Pytomnyk, Sosnivka, Ruski Tyshky, Petrivka, Dementiivka, Rubizhne, Duvanka, Mospanove, Ruska Lozova, Chuhuiv, Kluhyno-Bashkyrivka, Svitlychne, Pryshyb, and Slate, and conducted airstrikes near Zalyman and Mospanove.
There are other fronts, but the Ukrainian military has inflicted damage on Russian forces following the assaults of Berestove and Semyhiria. In these two areas, Russia has withdrawn but continued to attempt a mount of offensives.
A Plethora of Retail Bankruptcies may be on the Horizon
In early 2023, the retailers currently on the brink of bankruptcy will come to light due to an economic slowdown possibly causes a slow down in consumer spending and even a subpar holiday shopping season. Mark Cohen, the former CEO of Sear Canada and a current Columbia University professor, said, "I think we will see a flurry of bankruptcies likely in the first quarter of 2023 if this holiday season is anything less than completely robust. I don't think it will be, by the way."
Only three retailers filed for bankruptcy in the second half of 2021. From mid-September 2021 to mid-February 2022, there has yet to be another massive retail name filing for bankruptcies.
The Republicans are Beginning to Accept Doug Mastriano
Doug Mastriano has won the Republican nomination for the Pennsylvania Governor race after beating out nine other candidates. Speaking at the Aspen event with Republican donors sponsored by the GOP Governors Association, the political divide of Pennsylvania came more to light as the GOP is starting to embrace Doug Mastriano. Many say that it is strictly their duty to back a candidate who opposes abortion rights (no exceptions), spreads 2020 election denial conspiracy theories, and was sitting right outside the Capitol during the January 6th Riots just because they’re Republican.
