Elon Musk tells Trump it’s “Time to Hang up your Hat and Sail into the Sunset
Political News
Over the weekend, Donald Trump held a rally in which he spent a chunk of time speaking about Elon Musk. At one point, Trump referred to Musk as “another bullshit artist.” Well, Musk has returned the favor and it gave me a very Pete Buttigieg vibe.
“I don’t hate the man, but it’s time for Trump to hang up his hat & sail into the sunset. Dems should also call off the attack—don’t make it so that Trump’s only way to survive is to regain the Presidency. Trump would be 82 at end of their term, which is too old to be chief executive of anything, let alone the United States of America. If [Florida Gov. Ron] DeSantis runs against Biden in 2024, then DeSantis will easily win—he doesn’t even need to campaign,” Elon Musk wrote in response to Trump’s comments.

Economic News
Data released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis show that the GDP decreased at an annual rate of 1.6% in Q1. GDPNow is publishing data that shows GDP also decreased in Q2, which many economists live by the rule of two negative quarters of growth are considered a recession. Regardless of the feelings of economists, to officially be in a recession, the final word would have to come from the National Bureau of Economic Research.
