Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Ukrainian President, and the government have approved new efforts to suspend exports of Ukrainian gas, coal, and fuel oil due to the Russian invasion.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine has already put a massive strain on general global supply chains concerning food and other exports for things such as wheat, seed oils, iron ore, and corn.
The government resolution, which was published yesterday, included coal, fuel oil, and domestically produced gas in a list of other commodities that are now being prohibited from being exported during the time of the invasion.
Ukraine said this was connected to "the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and the imposition of martial law in Ukraine."
