To defend your business is one thing. To go too far in doing so is another…
A business owner and his two sons were arrested after turning themselves in for an incident that happened late last month. According to police reports, the owner and his children assaulted a burglary suspect from their business.
Authorities were called to the area for a report of a burglary at Sparks Custom Pools. Upon their arrival, the police found those reporting the robbery were standing in the parking lot. John Sparks and his two sons, Brendon and Trenton, pointed police to the burglar found in the business lying down in the back parking lot with his hands zip-tied behind his back.
Official reports claim the man had significant injuries to his head and face when they were introduced to him and he was ultimately sent to the hospital for treatment.
Deputies said the suspect had significant injuries to his head and face when they found him. He was detained and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. John had found the suspect in the yard and as soon as he darted to flee, John chased the suspect to a nearby business and confronted him with a firearm.
To get the suspect to the ground, John fired a round at him and proceeded to zip-tie his limbs. After this, John and his sons beat the living hell out of this guy which causes severe cuts and injuries all over the suspect’s face and body. After taking the beating, the individual was thrown into the bed of a pickup truck and was driven to the location in which he was found by police.
Warrants were obtained for John and his sons and the three men eventually turned themselves in earlier this month. All three of them were charged with assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping, and conspiracy.
