Chipotle has some of the best fast-casual Tex-Mex food around, and it has recently got an upgrade making it just a tad bit better. Customers can now buy a delicious burrito bowl using Flexa, a digital payments platform, at any Chipotle in the United States.

Flexa platforms support 98 cryptocurrencies such as Ether, Bitcoin, and Solana. Customers will have to download Gemini or SPEDN to use Flexa in-store.

Last year Chipotle introduced a giveaway of $100,000 in free burritos and $100,000 Bitcoin to celebrate National Burrito Day. Chipotle launched an in-experience currency known as Burrito Bucks on Roblox. This accompanied the company’s Burrito Builder game on Roblox. However, regardless of what it is, it is obviously clear which direction Chipotle is looking to go and that they aren’t new to the space.

“Chipotle benefits from reaching customers where they are through the new payment methods they want to use. And, at the same time, Chipotle’s customers benefit from greater payment flexibility, faster checkout, and a more seamless experience at the fast casual restaurants they already love.”

Trevor Filter, Flexa’s co-founder, said as he reiterates the benefits of expanding digital currency

Flexa co-founder Trevor Filter says expanding digital currency payment options benefits both customers and companies.

To celebrate its new payment options, Chipotle is giving 10% off to customers who make their next purchase with any digital currency in a Flexa-enabled app.
