Is it even Possible that the Republican Party Reforms the United States Constitution with an Updated Convention?

Nobody has a clue as to where the idea came from, but Republicans seem to have been getting a little too emboldened by recent Supreme Court victories as they now are looking toward re-shaping the United States Constitution to create a more Republican-leaning future.

"Their goals include gutting federal environmental standards, nixing nationwide education requirements, and creating an incredibly high threshold for Washington, DC, or territory to earn statehood. Some would like to make it difficult, if not impossible, for someone — National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Anthony Fauci, for example — to work for decades within the federal government.”

Insider claimed…

How in the world would the Republican party even enact a constitutional convention? Most Republican leaders don’t believe that change can happen within two to five years. However, they believe that Republicans can win over state legislatures and enact change independently from the Federal and State governments.

"State legislators meeting at the American Legislative Exchange Council’s policy conference here...hope to use Article V of the Constitution, which allows state legislatures to call a convention to propose new amendments."

The project goals are outlined.

There is no way that the Article V process — if legally followed — can result in their desired amendments. Honestly, I believe the Republicans know this too. The plan as it is to call an Article V convention and change the rules then repeat what happened with the convention and fix the Articles of Confederation which chucked out that document and started over from scratch. The United States Constitution required 9 of 13 states to ratify it into effect. If they can’t get two-thirds or three-fourths by following the rules of the convention, they’re not going to get that from the states.

Another issue is what happens if states refuse to ratify the newly formed government outlines. Nobody failed to do it the first time, but some states will absolutely balk at rectifying the new Christo-Fascist Government. Logically speaking, those states would be allowed to leave because self-determination is a basic human right and you cannot force a cataclysmic change to the government on someone — especially when the change(s) is not following the actual legal process established previously.

All in all, Congress or 34/50 states have to call the convention, and then 38/50 states have to approve the amendments. The fact that the super majority is needed to make any changes to the United States Constitution means that the changes won’t be one-sided, so a single party cannot enact their political agenda.

Even if Republicans win the presidency, the senate, and the house with a simple majority they still won’t be able to make constitutional changes that only favor them…
