January 6th Committee Hearing with Cassidy Hutchinson
What do we know so far?
The House Committee investigating the January 6th Riots has brought a surprise testimony from Cassidy Hutchinson today. So far, we have gotten a lot of details that can either make or break the case, not in favor of Trump and his administration. Honestly, the make-or-break was a lie - I think he and his administration is screwed either way, but this can escalate the situation (Cassidy Hutchinson’s Testimony).
So far, this is what we know as the story develops:
Trump, Meadows, etc. all knew many attendees has weapons. They also knew of planned violence prior to the Capitol Riot.
Trump reportedly stated that he was furious people with weapons weren’t allowed into his rallies and even went as far as to say "They aren't here to hurt me."
Trump demanded the United States Secret Service take down the magnetometers and let people into the ellipse rally. Then, Trump directed the mob to head for the Capitol.
Tony Ornato told Cassidy Hutchinson that Trump tried to grab the steering wheel of the Presidential Limo but the driver told him they were not going to the Capitol.
Ornato also told Cassidy Hutchinson that Trump attempted to lunge and hit the secret service agent.
Meadows was instructed by Trump to call Michael Flynn and Roger Stone the night before (January 5th). Meadows made both calls and planned a meeting the same day.
The White House reportedly knew of the Oath Keepers and the Proud Boys being present ahead of the actual Riot issuing.
Rudy Guiliani and Meadows sought pardons after the event.
