Apple will raise the starting pay for its U.S. employees as companies face a tight labor market and a surge in unionization efforts amid rising inflation. The starting pay for the company's U.S. team members will rise to $22/hr. or higher based upon the market, a 45% jump from 2018 levels, Apple said in a statement to Reuters yesterday.

10 Cases of Monkeypox have been reported in 8 States. Vaccines have been Mobilized as well

The CDC has identified 10 monkeypox cases in eight states as of yesterday, according to Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky. Cases have been identified in Massachusetts, Florida, Utah, Washington, California, Virginia, and New York.
The U.S. has also mobilized vaccines for monkeypox to states that have reported cases and plan to move the vaccine where it may be needed, Walensky said Thursday.
"The US has the resources we need to help us respond to monkeypox in this country right now. We've been preparing for this type of outbreak for decades," she said.
The US has two preventive vaccines and two antiviral treatments that can be used for orthodox, the family of viruses that includes monkeypox.
MasterCard Exec. says Mass Adoption of Crypto is ‘Just Around the Corner’

Harold Bosse, Vice President of new product development and innovation at MasterCard, revealed that corporations, investors, and executives are undeterred by the recent downturn in the crypto markets. He added that they remain upbeat about the long-term prospects of the crypto space.
While stating that large and small corporations maintain a positive outlook on crypto, he also stated that mass adoption of digital assets and the underlying technology would happen sooner rather than later. At a webinar during Avalanche’s Powering Business with Blockchain series, Bosse stated that millions of users are sending digital assets around the world.
Tesla has Officially Applied for more land to Expand the Giga Berlin Plant

According to the latest reports from Germany, Tesla proceeds forward to secure more land for the potential expansion of the Giga Berlin-Brandenburg plant in Grünheide near Berlin.
In early May it was reported (unofficially) that Tesla is interested in an additional plot (100 hectares) adjacent to the already massive 300-hectare property.
Yesterday, RBB24 revealed that Grünheide's Mayor Arne Christiani confirmed that Tesla has officially filed the application to acquire the land and expand its site. This does not mean that Tesla will automatically purchase the plot, but it’s expected.
