Mike Pompeo will be headlining a Republican fundraiser in South Carolina at the Faith & Freedom BBQ. Those in the faith & freedom organization "are ingrained into the very fabric of our nation, and I am looking forward to celebrating them surrounded by veterans, first responders, and other patriotic Americans who make our country great,” according to Pompeo.

According to Daniel Duncan, the candidate the benefit will be aiding, the event is the state’s largest gathering of Republicans in the year with more than 1,000 people in attendance.

“Mike Pompeo epitomizes service to country and community over self, unwavering commitment to America first foreign policy and his willingness to stand up to adversaries like China.”

Daniel Duncan said of Pompeo.

Mike Pompeo headlined a fundraiser in South Carolina last year as well as his super PAC has raised nearly $6 Million. Pompeo and Mike Pence are each attempting to establish themselves as possible political candidates to make a run for the 2024 presidential seat.

South Carolina has seen some recent visits from Mike Pence, including one last year where he made his first address since leaving office as Vice President.
