Mitch McConnell Reiterates his comments from last week and gives the GOP a "50-50 Chance" of Winning back the Senate
Mitch McConnell has also said not to be concerned about stolen elections and election fraud to his fellow Republicans...
Once again, Mitch McConnell is back to bashing his own party as today he gave the Republican party a 50/50 chance of taking control of the Senate during the November midterms. He also cleaned up some of his verbiages by saying the chamber will remain divided no matter what the outcome is. Mitch McConnell added that the United States Congress would find a way to work with President Biden if there was a flip and the GOP managed both chambers.
Last week, Mitch McConnell said that the Republicans stand a better chance of gaining the majority in the House than in the Senate due to “candidate quality.”
"Flipping the Senate, what are the chances? It's a 50-50 proposition. We've got a 50-50 Senate right now. We've got a 50-50 nation. And I think the outcome is likely to be very, very close either way.
If both the House and the Senate flip, I think the president will be moderate. He won't have any choice. And so, we'll try to find ways to make some progress for the country during the last two years of his term ... but not a big dramatic change."
Mitch McConnell said.
During a time in which most Republicans are running off of claims of a stolen election, Mitch McConnell has said not to be concerned about stolen elections and election fraud.
"Election fraud, there is some. It happens occasionally. But our democracy is solid. And of the things we need to worry about, I wouldn't be worried about that one."
