As Georgia’s Senate contest is becoming one of the most watched, Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock now has a 9-point advantage over his Republican opponent Herschel Walker. According to a newly released survey, Raphael Warnock has 48% of the support among likely voters while Herschel Walker has 39%. 8% of those who partook in the survey indicated they’re unsure/undecided as to who they will vote for come November.

The survey also found that 90% of Democrats were lined up behind Raphael Warnock while 77% of Republicans backed Herschel Walker. 10% of those identifying as Republican have since crossed support joining the Raphael Warnock campaign. Both Urban and Suburban respondents also indicate strong support for Raphael Warnock.

For rural voters, Herschel Walker holds a 28-point lead. Republicans have voiced their beliefs that Herschel Walker’s name recognition in the state and early endorsements from big names such as Donald Trump will be the major keys in the Georgia midterm.

Outside of Democrats and Republicans, the survey found that 44% of independents have sided with Raphael Warnock and 35% have sided with Herschel Walker.

SurveyUSA polled 604 likely voters from July 21 through July 24; the survey had a margin of error of plus or minus 5.3 percentage points.
