Nothing New Here: Donald Trump called the Wisconsin Assembly Speaker to Review an Overturning of the Wisconsin Election all while being Investigated by the January 6th House Committee
Donald Trump called Robin Vos to speak about a possible overturning of the Wisconsin election results following a ruling which outlawed absentee drop-boxes in the state...
Donald Trump has reportedly called Robin Vos, the Wisconsin Assembly Speaker, earlier this month to encourage him to decertify Biden’s election victory in the state. The election official stated that Donald Trump made the decision to reach out shortly after the Wisconsin State Supreme Court rules absentee ballot drop boxes will be illegal.
"It's very consistent. He makes his case, which I respect. He would like us to do something different in Wisconsin. I explained that it's not allowed under the Constitution. He has a different opinion.
Robin Vos said.
The timing of the news surrounding the phone call could not have come at a worse time considering Donald Trump is currently the focal point of the January 6th Panel’s investigation into the Capitol Riot. After being rejected by Robin Vos, Trump shared his feelings on his truth social app:
"Looks like Speaker Robin Vos, a long-time professional RINO always looking to guard his flank, will be doing nothing about the amazing Wisconsin Supreme Court decision," the former president wrote, using a critical term that stands for "Republican in name only.
The Democrats would like to sincerely thank Robin, and all of his fellow RINOs, for letting them get away with 'murder.”
Donald Trump said.
Robin Vos defended his rejection citing that the newly implemented law of absentee dropboxes being outlawed will take effect only moving forward and cannot be applied to past elections. He even went as far as to himself declare the dropboxes illegal.
"So what's Speaker Robin Vos doing on the Great Wisconsin Supreme Court Ruling declaring hundreds of thousands of DropBox votes to be illegal? This is not a time for him to hide, but a time to act!"
Donald Trump responded to the Robin Vos statement.
In the state of Wisconsin, Biden edged out Trump by less than 21,000 votes. Robin Vos was accused by Trump of "working hard to cover up election corruption" in 2021. Eventually, the pressure got to Robin Vos, and he opened the investigation into the 2020 election in Wisconsin.
Strangely enough, Robin Vos has been a previous candidate for the acceptance of the big lie being spread. He once stated voter fraud has influenced the outcome of the Wisconsin election.
