Patrick Byrne, the Former Overstock CEO that Attended the "Unhinged" White House Meeting Testified in front of the House Committee for nearly 8 Hours
Jamie Raskin said the meeting was so heated that both aides could hear screaming down the hallway.
Patrick Byrne, the former Overstock CEO, testified before the House Committee investigating the January 6th Riots for nearly eight hours yesterday in a tell all sequence. Byrne entered the conference room just before 10:00 am and left just around 7:00pm. Reports indicate that there was also an hour-long break as well as Byrne taking break to speak with his lawyer before continuing.
The goal of the committee was to speak to Patrick Byrne concerning his meeting with Trump’s inner circle on December 18, 2022. The meeting involving Lt. General Michael Flynn and Sidney Powell discussing the seizing of voting machines and naming Powell as a special counsel to work on overturning the election results of 2020.
Jamie Raskin said the meeting was so heated that both aides could hear screaming down the hallway. Cassidy Hutchinson even considered the meeting to be “unhinged.” The following day, Trump tweeted, "Statistically impossible to have lost the 2020 Election. Big protest in D.C. on January 6th. Be there, will be wild!" which sparked the interest in the meeting.
Patrick Byrne gained notoriety as he pushed the false claims that Trump won the 2020 election due to voter fraud all throughout 2020 and 2021. He even urged Trump to find adequate evidence of foreign interference that would give him authority to direct a federal force to recount votes.
