Peter Navarro Suggests Donald Trump make a Presidential Run with Ron DeSantis as Vice President
Neither Trump nor DeSantis have indicated any presidential bids for the 2024 election...
Peter Navarro, the White House Advisor under President Trump has stated that Trump should choose Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as a running mate and to avoid those such as Josh Hawley, Ted Cruz, and more. Peter Navarro then expanded on his choices in an opinion piece in which he gave a brief suggestion as to picking a running mate for Trump by saying “choose a running mate who is not just MAGA-sympatico but a true populist economic nationalist cut from the same cloth."
Outside of Ron DeSantis, Peter Navarro stated Mike Pompeo would also be a great choice. Navarro elaborated on who shouldn’t be running with Trump. An obvious first choice to fill that category was Mike Pence who is under heat from the MAGA group due to his unwillingness to partake in overturning the 2020 election.
Peter Navarro also ruled out Josh Hawley as well as Tom Cotton.
"DeSantis should see the wisdom of accepting such an offer from Trump as it would similarly clear the field for DeSantis in 2028 and usher in what would likely be the beginning of an eight-year run of DeSantis as president through 2036.
Memo to Ron: patience is as patience does. Memo to the boss: lead with intelligence and not your chin on this one. A Trump-DeSantis ticket would indeed be a juggernaut."

Trump has yet to declare a bid for the 2024 presidential bid. This is the same news for Ron DeSantis even as tensions between him and a Democratic potential nominee Gavin Newsom ramps up. Since 2021, Trump has fiddled with the prospect of making another run for President multiple times. In October, Ron DeSanis said he wouldn’t consider the run due to him being “busy.”
