President Biden "Remains Sharp at Work while asking Great Questions," According to Past and Present White House Aides
So then - What are we missing?
For many, they have seen a side of Joe Biden that would give firm reason to believe his age makes him mildly incoherent. Remember, he even had to have a notecard that instructed him what to do on stage to give a speech. This is just one example of many. However, many current and former White House aides have come out and said that President Biden, currently 79, remains sharp at work while asking great questions and conducting White House business efficiently. What are we missing?
Many Democratic voters and party members have indicated concerns surrounding the idea of Biden running for reflection and winning. Not because he wins the Presidency, but because by that time he will be 82 years old and by the time his second term ends he would be 86.
The New York Times spoke with a handful of individuals who have worked in the White House or currently work in the White House with Biden. They have all stated, "He [Biden] remained intellectually engaged, asking smart questions at meetings, grilling aides on points of dispute, calling them late at night, picking out that weak point on Page 14 of a memo and rewriting speeches."
The same group of individuals has also confirmed that no “special accommodations” have been implemented specifically for Biden. However, they did say that they privately guard the President’s weekends in Delaware as often as they can allow. From the opinion of said individuals, the New York Times claimed Biden is a “five- or five-and-a-half-day-a-week president," and “he is readily available at any time.”
