Adam Kinzinger has accused members of the Republican party of touting “hypocrisy” by defending Donald Trump’s handling of classified documents found in his Mar-a-Lago estate during an FBI raid.

"The hypocrisy of folks in my party that spent years chanting “lock her up” about Hillary Clinton because of some deleted emails or quote unquote wiping a server is now out there defending a man who very clearly did not take the national security of the United States to heart.”

Adam Kinzinger said.

Recently, the DOJ released its redacted version of the affidavit that helped win approval in court to conduct a search of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate. According to the affidavit, law enforcement was investigating possible criminal activity. Donald Trump maintains his saying that he has done nothing wrong and the raid of his home was strictly politically motivated.

Multiple Republicans, including Donald Trump, promoted the 2016 presidential campaign on the basis that United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton used a private email server for official public communications with some of them including classified information. The famous chants of Trump rallies were “Lock Her Up” due to this.

"One of the more intriguing things is going to be some of the financings... a vast majority of this money was raised under 'stop the steal' with no intention of doing anything to stop the so-called steal."

Adam Kinzinger said as he described his next move after opting out of seeking re-election.
