Rudy Giuliani claims Donald Trump was just "Protecting" the Documents found in his Mar-a-Lago Home
The story surrounding the initial raid of Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home as well as the events afterward has been shifting.
One of the most loyal Donald Trump-era officials, Rudy Giuliani, has attempted to formulate a new bit in which he used to defend Donald Trump’s stashing of documents and materials after leaving office in January 2021. Rudy Giuliani says Donald Trump was simply “protecting sensitive documents by placing them in a safe place.”
“Really, if you look at the Espionage Act, it’s not really about taking the documents. It’s about destroying them. Or hiding them. Or giving them to the enemy. It’s not about taking them and putting them in a place that’s roughly as safe as they were in in the first place.”
Rudy Giuliani said.
The story surrounding the initial raid of Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home as well as the events afterward has been shifting. This is occurring on body sides of the aisle but has predominantly been led by the Republicans defending Trump. His son, Eric Trump, said that the documents consisted of “newspaper articles, pictures, and notes from us.” Some have even gone as far as to say that the FBI planted a dozen boxes of documents and materials while searching the home for said boxes…
Rudy Giuliani was an advocate saying the documents didn’t matter. However, in his newest, personal, narrative the documents were sensitive and that’s why Donald Trump was protecting them. Furthermore, Rudy Giuliani stated that the Mar-a-Lago estate was nearly just as safe and protected as the White House.
