Gavin Newsom is now Running Advertising in Texas
Gavin Newsom, the Governor of California, is back to his tricks of running ads in other states — something which some claim is a hint at a possible 2024 Presidential election bid. However, it is being said that Gavin Newsom is running the ads to troll Texas Governor Greg Abbott to specifically highlight a new California gun law that is modeled on Texas’ restrictive abortion law.
The ad reads, “If Texas can ban abortion and endanger lives, California can ban deadly weapons of war and save lives. If Governor Abbott truly wants to protect the right to life, we urge him to follow California’s lead.”
Today, Gavin Newsom is expected to sign a bill modeled on the Texas abortion law that will provide private citizens to sue people who make or sell banned weapons.
Japan Fears it is in the middle of an International Strategic Competition between North Korea, China, and Russia
In an annual defense paper distributed today, Japanese officials have warned of the escalating national security threats concerning Russia’s war in Ukraine and the tensions rising in China surrounding Taiwan. Approved by PM Fumio Kishida’s Cabinet, the paper highlights the need for a military buildup in Japan.
Many have criticized the idea of a possible revision to Japan’s national security strategy that will include a pre-emptive strike capability as going beyond the limitations of a pacifist Japanese constitution. The top security concerns however are Russia, North Korea, and China with Japan being “at the center” of international strategic competition.
Russian Rates Slashed to Levels seen Pre-Invasion

The benchmark has been lowered to 8% from 9.5% signaling they will further consider reductions in the second half of the year. The Ruble also continued a drop against the dollar after the announcement and a weakening of 2.6%.
