Sexual Harassment, Bringing a Gun into an Airport, and Hypocritical Cross Dressing has led Madison Cawthorn to lose the Primary
With all of this, I guess people just had enough of the guy...
The man, the myth, the crossdresser, Representative Madison Cawthorn has a running track record of absolute embarrassment outside of politics…
He has twice been stopped from trying to bring a gun onto a plane or into an airport.
He claimed colleagues take cocaine and host orgies.
He suggested Nacy Pelosi is an alcoholic, even though it has been proven she doesn’t drink.
He has been caught up in an insider trading scheme.
He has been accused of sexual harassment by multiple women.
With all of this, I guess people just had enough of the guy.
He has lost his bid for reelection yesterday to Senator Chuck Edwards in the GOP primary in the 11th Congressional District. “This is simply incredible. Against all odds, we fought hard to win this election and provide clear conservative leadership for the mountains,” Edwards said in a statement after his win.
Cawthorn has recently faced so many allegations of completely embarrassing moments. He was once a rising Republican star. He had gotten a speaking spot a the 2020 convention after his underdog win in the GOP primary of his district. Even as he has had his history of controversies, criticism from colleagues has gotten worse in recent months. He lost the support of the majority of GOP colleagues in North Carolina.
“Unfortunately, Madison Cawthorn has fallen well short of the most basic standards western North Carolina expects from their representatives.”
Tillis said in late March.
Senator Richard Burr also said, “On any given day, he’s an embarrassment.”
To nobody’s surprise, the king of controversies former president Donald Trump endorsed Madison Cawthorn earlier this week.
“When Madison was first elected to Congress, he did a great job. Recently, he made some foolish mistakes, which I don’t believe he’ll make again…let’s give Madison a second chance!”
Trump said in a post on his newly created social media platform.
