An election official in Colorado has been indicted for election tampering while also being barred by a judge from overseeing any voting in her home county this year. However, Tina Peters isn’t done with the state of Colorado. She is now aimed toward receiving the Republican nomination for secretary of state in the Tuesday primary vote. Currently, throughout 17 states, there are 23 individuals who are labeled within a group known as “election deniers.” According to the States United Action nonprofit advocacy group, of those 23 people, the majority of them are a state’s top election officials. Races involving these individuals have now begun to bring attention.
