Just when you thought we were done talking about Elon Musk and Twitter, I’m here to ruin your wishes! In what is becoming a genuine sitcom, Twitter’s legal team has now accused Elon Musk of violating an NDA. Supposedly, the violation occurred when Musk revealed the platform’s sample size for calculating the percentage of bots. This has led to the purchase of the social media company being held up.
According to Twitter, roughly 5% of its daily active users aren’t real persons (only - ha). Musk demanded more details on how the hell the company calculated this and he publically claimed the bots were more prevalent than the company has originally reported.
Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal had published the latest news for advancement on Twitter. He stated that the company had to prepare for “all scenarios.” Twitter then shared details on bot calculation methodologies with Musk. Elon Musk then in turn publically revealed that the company takes random samples of 100 users to determine the percentage of bots. This is where things turned sour for Twitter: Musk told his followers to do the same and “see what they discover.”

“I picked 100 as the sample size number because that is what Twitter uses to calculate <5% fake/spam/duplicate. Twitter legal just called to complain that I violated their NDA by revealing the bot check sample size is 100! This actually happened.”
Musk said.
Musk is now voicing concerns more thoroughly and with a sense of relentlessness. Elon Musk just doesn’t care who challenges him, however. Just as Twitter’s lawyers were contacting him, he started claiming that the Twitter algorithm is manipulating people in ways they don’t understand. Musk stated that the platform is deliberately showing you what IT thinks you like.

“It was designed simply to save you time when you are away from the app for a while. Pull to refresh goes back to reverse chron as well.”
Jack Dorsey responded to Musk.
