The most progressive Wisconsin Democrat in the primary race for the United States Senate, Tom Nelson, has dropped from the race. Tom Nelson has since thrown his support to Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes over Alex Lasry, the Milwaukee Bucks exec.

"Mandela can now count on me to be on his side every step of the way. I urge other Democratic primary voters to also support him now as well.”

Tom Nelson said.

“Unfortunately, money matters way too much in politics, and running against two self-funding millionaires proved too much for this pastor’s kid,” Nelson continued as federal filings show he raises around $1.3 Million for his campaign. Lasry and Godlewski are both millionaires with each pouring $12 Million and $4 Million into their campaigns respectively.

“I deeply respect Tom Nelson’s commitment to the working people in this state and I’m thankful for his endorsement. It will take all of us coming together in every corner of this state to beat Ron Johnson.”

Mandela Barnes said, welcoming the endorsement.
