"Trump’s supreme dereliction of duty"
Pat Cipollone's testimony from Friday speaks a lot about Trump's mishandling of power...
A statement has been issued by the House Select Committee investigating the January 6th riots. The statement describes Pat Cipollone’s input as “reinforcing” to the already set idea of misconduct by Donald Trump.
"In our interview with Mr. Cipollone, the Committee received critical testimony on nearly every major topic in its investigation, reinforcing key points regarding Donald Trump’s misconduct and providing highly relevant new information that will play a central role in its upcoming hearings.
This includes information demonstrating Donald Trump’s supreme dereliction of duty.”
Tim Mulvey, the House Committee spokesman, said.
There have yet to be any reports on privilege but reiterated that Pat Cipollone was in no way guided by the panel to avoid privileged information. The statement from Pat Cipollone actually backs the claims of Cassify Hutchinson. She testified, saying Trump attacked a Secret Service driver and yelled at him over being told “no” to going to the Capitol on that day.
Cassidy Hutchinson also stated Trump showed no mercy towards Mike Pence as rioters stormed the capitol chanting death to Pence, saying, “Hang Mike Pence, Hang Mike Pence.”
On Saturday Mulvey said in the committee's statement that Cipollone "corroborated key elements of Cassidy Hutchinson's testimony."
