Multiple countries have also eased out of their relationships with Russia. Turkey has been the outcast country as Tayyip Erdogan has been leading his country to take advantage of Russia’s lack of allies.

Adil Karaismailoglu, the Turkish transport minister, boasted of the trade surge between Russia and Turkey saying that the average number of vehicles traded with Russian increased by 58%. 8,212 vehicles have been traded between Russia and Turkey from the months of May to July which is up from a monthly average of 5,208 recorded from January to April.

Overall trade has also seen a massive boom. Turkish exports directly to Russia have hit $2.91 Billion in the first half of the fiscal year of 2022. This figure is an eight-year high. As Turkey is a prominent figure in NATO, its growing relationship with Russia has been a worry for most other Western officials. Some officials and countries have even gone so far as to suggest reducing the financing to Turkish firms.
