Vladimir Putin confirms Peace Talks with Ukraine may not Happen - Ever
In a speech given this afternoon, Vladimir Putin claims Russia is just getting started in Ukraine and as the war rages on, peace negotiations will become out of the conversation...
According to Vladimir Putin, Russia hasn’t even gotten started in Ukraine. Putin also dared the West to try and defeat mother Russia on the battlefield. In his speech to parliamentary leaders, Putin stated that negotiations would grow harder to conclude the longer the war drags.
"Today we hear that they want to defeat us on the battlefield. What can you say, let them try.
We have heard many times that the West wants to fight us to the last Ukrainian. This is a tragedy for the Ukrainian people, but it seems that everything is heading towards this."
Vladimir Putin also accused the West and its allies of waging a proxy war against it by hammering the Russian economy and aiding Ukraine with the supplemental weapons being sent over incrementally. However, Putin also boasted, scarily, that Russia is just getting started.
"Everyone should know that, by and large, we haven't started anything yet in earnest. At the same time, we don't reject peace talks. But those who reject them should know that the further it goes, the harder it will be for them to negotiate with us."
Large amounts of country space in Ukraine have since been swept up by the Russian military since the beginning of the war including Luhansk last week. Russia’s progress has undoubtedly been slower than many people predicted as Russian forces have repeatedly been beaten back in initial attempts to take Kyiv and Kharkiv.
