After Two Years of sitting on a Presidential Pardon, Steve Bannon will turn Himself In by Tomorrow

Political News

Steve Bannon is finally expected to face a state indictment in New York nearly two years after receiving a pardon from Donald Trump concerning a federally investigated fraud case. Bannon said the state of New York “has now decided to pursue phony charges against me 60 days before the midterm election.” He added, “This is nothing more than a partisan political weaponization of the criminal justice system.”

Since Falling behind by 18%, Scott Jenson Flips his Stance on Abortion in an Attempt to Regain some Support

Political News

After his polling took a nose dive partly due to the fact of his initial stance on abortion, Scott Jenson, a candidate for Minnesota governor, has flipped sides on the issue as he released a video saying “abortion is a protected constitutional right in the state of Minnesota” and “no governor can change that.”

However, many have pointed out Jenson’s original stance on abortion. In March, he stated “I would try to ban abortion,” and added there would be no exceptions for rape or incest but only “unless the mother’s life is in danger.” His current 18 percentage point deficit to incumbent Tim Walz could be due to this stance.

Vladimir Putin Suggests adding Restrictions as to which Countries can Receive Grain from Ukraine

World News

As much of the world — if not the entire world — continues to cope with the looming food crisis, Vladimir Putin has now stated that he would discuss developments of a landmark graind deal with Ukraine to limit the number of countries that can receive cargo shipments. He added that Russia has “done everything it could to ensure Ukraine was able to export its graine but the problems on the global food market are likely to intensify.”

In July, Ukraine and Russia reached an agreement and signed a deal that would help alleviate the skyrocketing prices of grain. Putin claims the “rich Western countries” were taking advantage of the deal. He said, "If we exclude Turkey as an intermediary country, then almost all the grain exported from Ukraine is sent not to the poorest developing countries, but to European Union countries.”

Janet Yellen claims the Newly Enacted Biden Economic Plan will Reach “Forgotten” Citites

Economic News

Janet Yellen will deliver a speech in Detroit today in hopes to convey the messaging that the Biden administration’s enacted spending plan for green energy, infrastructure, and technology will all “shift investment more broadly across the United States, not just to prosperous coastal cities.”

Yellen said that the economic agenda in the long run will provide unrealized plans for more spending in the areas of child care and education as “modern supply side economics.” She will also argue that this economic agenda will boost productivity across more “sectors, people, and places.”

What’s Really at Stake in the 2022 Midterms?

Political News

As midterms loom in the early half of November, control of the United States Congress remains at the top list as to what’s at stake come election time. However, many people have forgotten the fact that President Biden’s remaining policy agenda is also at stake.

The GOP currently have a strong chance of taking control of at least the House. On the other side of the aisle, Democrats have a broad hope of keeping their majority in the Senate. Even with a Republican-controlled House, it would be enough for Biden’s agenda to go off course as well as spark congressional probes into the administration.
