As Volodymyr Zelenskyy has been warning for some time now, the threat of a Russian attack on Ukraine’s Independence Day came true as Russian rockets hit a passenger train in an Eastern Ukraine station. 15 people have been reported dead and 50 more have been reported as wounded.
According to his video address to the UN’s Security Council, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the rockets had hit Chaplyne. He said, "Four passenger wagons are now on fire. As of now, at least 15 people have been killed and around 50 people have been wounded. Rescuers are working, but, unfortunately, the death toll could increase."
Recently, Russia has been very adamant concerning the denial of aiming at civilian targets. 57 people died in April when Russian missiles hit another train station in Kramatorsk.
