Work from home is ending for some companies as the Covid pandemic winds down. The only issue: some employees want to continue to work from home. Some employees even took it a step further and quit their jobs as their company asked them to come work in the office.

WhiteHat Jr fell victim to the power of the employee as nearly 800 employees quit their jobs in the last two months. The surge in resignations came as WhiteHat Jr asked its employees to return to office space work.

The work from the home policy within WhiteHat Jr ended on March 18th and the company asked if employees could return to the office around April 18th. The push to end the work from home may have come from BYJU which acquired WhiteHat Jr in 2020.

All positions were losing employees. Some from sales, coding, and math teams. Within the next few months, it is being reported that there will be upwards of 1,000 total employees who have quit.

“Some have kids, some have aged and sick parents, while others have other responsibilities. It is not right to call back employees in such a short period of time.”

A former employee said.

“This was a well-planned and managed layoff that WhiteHat Jr did.”

Another former employee said.

One of the leading causes for employees quitting their jobs across the globe fell into play with WhiteHat Jr as well as former employees stated that their salaries should be revised to reflect the rising cost of living in the expensive headquarter cities.
